Pumpkin Oatmeal

Our Pumpkin Oatmeal is a nutritious and vitamin-rich way to start off your morning. Oatmeal is a cheap, healthy, and versatile food that makes for a quick and easy breakfast! Ever tried savory oatmeal?

Makes: 1 Serving

Ingredients
1/2 cup quick-cooking oats
1 cup water
1/3 cup pumpkin puree (canned or fresh)
1/8 tsp cinnamon or Pumpkin Pie Spice
1 tsp maple syrup
2 Tbs roasted walnuts

 

Instructions

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl mix together oats and water.
  2. Microwave according to oatmeal package directions.
  3. Stir in pumpkin puree, cinnamon, and maple syrup.
  4. Top with roasted walnuts and enjoy!

Note: You can use skim milk instead of water for increased protein, calcium and Vitamin D.
