One Pot Pasta with Veggies

Here at SNAP4CT, we love one pot meals. What’s better than making a full dish and only having to wash one thing? This pasta dish is quick and easy and is sure to be a family favorite. Get creative and add any of your favorite vegetables. Check out what’s in season in CT for some ideas!

Makes: 8 Servings

Ingredients
1 lb whole wheat spaghetti
8 oz sliced mushrooms
1 bag (12-16 oz) frozen broccoli
2 small zucchini, slice into ¼ inch slices, then cut slices into quarters
1/3 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 heaping tsp pre-minced garlic)
1 tsp dry Italian seasoning
4 1/2 cups water

 

Instructions

Cooking pot on a wooden table filled with raw spaghetti, broccoli, mushrooms, and zucchini topped with seasoning before cooking.
