Tuna Salad with Pears

This heart healthy tuna salad recipe uses plain yogurt instead of mayo ,and adds fresh fruits and vegetables for flavor and fiber. Not a fan of pears? Try adding apples or grapes. ? If you loved this recipe, you’ll probably like our Apple Salad recipe too!

Makes: 2 Servings

Ingredients
2 Tbs plain yogurt
1 Tbs lemon juice
1 can (3 oz) tuna, packed in water, drained
1 small pear, chopped
1 stalk of celery, finely diced
1 small carrot, grated

Optional: fresh or dried parsley, chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. To make the dressing, mix yogurt and lemon juice in a small bowl. For thin dressing, add a tablespoon of water or milk.
  2. Mix tuna with the dry ingredients in a bowl.
  3. Toss tuna mixture with dressing. Serve.
