Program Scope

Each year UConn HNS staff, program leaders, interns, and service-learning students spend more than 5,000 hours building relationships and learning alongside more than 3,000 people of all ages across the state

Summertime Impact

Each summer UConn HNS staff and a team of UConn student interns spend 10 weeks engaging alongside more than 1,000 students, campers, caregivers, and seniors throughout the state

Culture of Health

UConn HNS everyday presence at Fred D. Wish Museum School in Hartford, CT alongside PreK-5th grade students, school staff, families, and community partners works towards a larger "Culture of Health @ Wish School"

The renewal of USDA funding will support the initiative for the next three years

More than 350 students from 21 partner schools were enrolled in the Neag School’s ECE courses in 2022-2023, an increase from 201 students in five districts the year before. 

UConn Husky Nutrition & Sport, a merger of two SNAP-Ed programs, launches new website and sets high goals for its next phase of community and campus engagement

The newly combined Husky Programs will continue promoting healthy lifestyles for SNAP recipients throughout the state.
